Britney Spears is designing her own new limited edition apparel and accessories collection for Candie’s set to exclusively hit Kohl’s stores and kohls.com on July 1.
Brit tells InStyle.com what we can expect from her design debut.
“I wanted to design clothes that I would wear and my fans would wear. That was the most important thing to me,” Spears exclaims, “I wanted to make both daytime casual looks and fun dresses to go out in at night. I got to approve every single piece in the line. It was really a lot of fun.”
“I used a lot of studs and lace because I wanted to make the clothes cool and edgy yet girly,”
Spears added: “This collection really represents my personal style. I took pieces from my ‘Circus’ tour and pieces that I wear every day. I love denim, so I made sure to include a lot of jeans. I can’t wait for it to come out.”
Also expect big necklaces and earrings as well as Brit’s favorite – a black trench coat.
Britney will also appear in the national print, TV and and online campaign for Kohl’s, featuring the singer wearing the collection along with personal handwritten notes such as, “You’ll love these jeans!” with the tagline, “Designed by me for you!” The collection of apparel, handbags and jewelry will range from $14-$78.
